Ronnie’s Hot Bagels and Café was founded and opened in 1985 by present owner Ronnie Manus in a north Jersey town located in Hillsdale NJ.
From 1984 until 1995 Ronnie’s operated out of their 1000 square foot retail store. Due to the success that this one little store created, in order to meet customer demands and satisfy all those who waited on lines that wrapped around the corner and waited for hours. Ronnie’s expanded to next store and increased his company to now 2000 square feet that not only accommodated all those who waited it also allowed a sense of community to the area by introducing indoor and outdoor seating.
In 1997 the demand for Ronnie’s became stronger and stronger so Owner Ronnie Manus founded and opened their second location in another small town of north Jersey called Norwood NJ. Ronnie’s of Norwood from its opening had always offered indoor seating. Due to the configuration of the outside strip Mall, Norwood can not offer outside seating at this time.
No matter what store you choose you will be greeted warmly by one of our staff associates who will tour you through all our specialty foods, beverages and desserts, and best of all our Hand Rolled Bagels. Bergen Counties Best Bagel rated #1 buy 201 Magazine and Bergen’s best Magazine 2007 and 2008.
Owner and still operator of Ronnie’s in Hillsdale and Norwood commented that without the partnership of his management team and staff there would be no Ronnie’s today. “This is a seven day early morning business that manufactures, retails, caters, consults and operates like a major corporation. Every day we learn, every day we change, every day we appreciate all that we have, and every day I Ronnie Manus am thankful to have such wonderful employees that stand by my side. They are my success and together we will all continue to deliver the very best in bagels, smoked fish, cream cheese, salads, coffees, desserts, breakfast, lunches, party platters, school lunches and catered affairs.”

We are a bagel store turned Café that specializes in the manufacturing of bagels, and many other specialty items that have been with us since 1984 without compromise whatsoever. Through the years our menu had to expand to accommodate the ever-changing population and consumers wants and needs. It is through our understanding and innovation Ronnie’s has been a significant force in the bagel industry till today.
